Prayer Room Set Types

Encounter God Services (EGS) Leaders and guests of Macon House of Prayer bring forth messages of intimacy, intercession, and the end-times. These are birthed from a lifestyle of prayer and fasting in the context of the prayer room. These services consist of a time of worship, teaching, and a time of ministry.

Intercession Sets Intercessions sets that are held throughout the week combine live worship music and intercession. They are patterned after the heavenly vision in Revelation 5:8 where the harp represents worship and the bowl represents the prayers of the saints. This Harp & Bowl model fully engages both musicians and intercessors in spontaneous music and prayer. Individuals are welcome to pray on the microphone, when prompted by the Prayer Leader, for a corporate burden using one of the Apostolic Prayers or other scripture. There are also cycles of “rapid-fire prayer,” when one-by-one, intercessors pray a succession of 10-15 second prayers on a specific theme.

Worship with the Word Worship with the Word is an expression of agreement with who God is. We agree with God’s heart as we sing the Biblical truths of who God is and what He promises to do. We desire to encounter the Living Word, Jesus Christ, as we sing through, meditate on, and study the written Word. This worship set involves a focus on one specific passage or them by singing through key verses from that passage or about that theme. Participants are invited to talk with God about the passage of scripture, declare it quietly to proclaim your belief in its truth, sing it quietly, look for cross-references, study it and read about it, and write about it – what it means to you or just sit and let it soak in.
